Gray Matters Games Launches Cross the Line — A Bold New Party Game Where Some Lines Are Meant to Be Crossed
Glen Ellyn, IL – May 5th: Gray Matters Games, creators of hit party games Slip It In and Rhymes With Duck, are proud to announce the launch of their newest title, Cross the Line—a laugh-out-loud social guessing game that reveals how well you really know your friends and family.
Designed for groups looking to spark conversation and share unforgettable moments, Cross the Line challenges players to secretly place themselves on a spectrum of answers to fun, revealing questions like “How long could you survive the apocalypse?” or “How bad is your road rage?”. The rest of the group must then guess where they landed by “crossing the line” with their Confidence Bars. The bolderthe guess, the more points scored—but the real reward is the hilarious and unexpected revelations along the way.
“Cross the Line is all about those moments where you learn something new about the people you thought you knew best,” said Joe Barron, founder of Gray Matters Games. “It’s simple to pick up, incredibly engaging, and every round creates a new story.”
Cross the Line is a collaboration with inventor Brady Peterson and industrial designer David Yakos. The game features vibrant graphic design by Sophia Ricciardi, with content written by comedian Grant Lyon and board game influencer Danielle Standring, blending humor and broad appeal into every card. The game is set to make a big splash with GMG’s marketing partnerships with Loudr, Marcella Raymond Media and Asmodee.
The game launches exclusively into mass market at Walmart stores nationwide this week. Later this summer, the game will roll out at thousands of mass market, online and independent toy & hobby game stores. GMG’s partner, Asmodee, will distribute into mass retail and internationally in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Hobby and Specialty retailers can visit our Retailer Resourcepage to learn about ordering through GMG’s distribution partner, Asmodee, and our sales rep groups.
With its unique gameplay, strong table presence, and endless replayability, Cross the Line is poised to become a standout addition to game nights everywhere.
